As Issued Iron Sights

Courses of Fire

5 sighters from prone position, 10 rounds slow fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire sitting, 20 rounds slow fire standing. Total 55 rounds. M1 Garand: 2 rounds inserted in rifle, bolt is allowed to override top round so that bolt is closed on empty chamber. During rapid fire, full 8 round clip is inserted after second round and clip are ejected. M1A: Rapid fire stages require a magazine change. Each magazine charged with 5 rounds. First magazine to be inserted on a CLOSED BOLT.Slow fire stages will be loaded with 1 round at a time, this for safety concerns.

Courses of Fire same course of fire for 22 rimfire, centerfire handgun, .45 pistol :

10 rounds slow fire, 10 rounds timed fire, 10 rounds rapid fire. Two hands may be used for centerfire and .45, but times will be same (slow fire 10 shots/10 minutes, timed fire: 2 strings, 5 shots/20 seconds each, rapid fire : 2 strings, 5 shots/10 seconds each)

Rapid fire stages require a magazine change. Magazines may be charged with 2/8 or 5/5 rounds. First magazine to be on mat, bolt can be open (NRA Rule). Service rifle follows CMP rules. Slow fire stages will be loaded with 1 round at a time, this for safety concerns.
